I began my working life with Emmitt at a young age, spending Saturdays and school holidays helping out wherever I could. In 2002, I was offered an apprenticeship at our former Wattisfield depot – an opportunity I grabbed with both hands. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Bircham Newton NCC, where I earned my qualifications in Plant Mechanics. Between college terms, I took on an outside service engineer role, repairing and servicing a wide range of plant machinery out in the field.

In 2008, I was given the chance to help set up the Corby depot. This presented a whole new challenge and gave me a deeper insight into how the company operates at its core. By 2012, I returned to head office to take on the role of Service Manager. I’m fortunate to work with a fantastic team and take great satisfaction in what we’re able to achieve; especially when the pressure is on.

Outside work, I cherish time with my family, enjoy the occasional country pursuit, and spend time repairing Land Rovers.
